The artist usually explores the theme of a human figure situated in the context of contemporary cultural and social conditionings. Her sculptures provide a critical commentary on the current reality and at the same time they are not free from a certain fairy-tale character and surrealism. Studies: Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, diploma at Prof Alojzy Gryt’s studio, 2001. She continued artistic education in the scope of sculpture and stage design at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in Germany. In 2012 she obtained the diploma of the German academy and then went on to defend doctorate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. She is a laureate of the 2008 Darmstädter Sezession award, Darmstadt, Germany and won the Grand Prix award at the 5th Biennial of Young Art Rybie Oko in Słupsk, 2008. Honoured by the City Oświęcim by Culture Award, 2013, and the title Personality of the Year 2017 in the category of culture in the ‘Gazeta Krakowska’ poll. Since 2017 connected with the Faculty of Art, Pedagogical University of Krakow, where she lectures on sculpture and drawing.
