Studies: State School of Decorative Arts, Poznan. Diploma, 1937, then Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, diploma, 1950. Since 1949 a lecturer of the State Higher College of Plastic Arts, Poznan, and since 1953 of the State Higher College of Plastic Arts, Gdansk (since 1958 full professor). He was the deputy vice-chancellor, dean, and head of the Department of Sculpture and Drawing at the Faculty of Sculpture. He took part in works on the reconstruction of sculptures in the Old Town in Gdansk (1953-1954). Decorated with the Gold Cross of Merit, 1951. Laureate of the Francesco Nullo Award at the 30th Biennale in Venice. Author of the monument to the Greater Poland’s Insurgents, Poznan 1965.
