Andrzej Lachowicz

Studies: AGH University of Science of Technology, Krakow, 1957-1961, then State Higher College of Plastic Arts, Wrocław, 1961-1965. Diploma in Prof Stanisław Dawski’s studio, 1965. Co-founder of the neo-avant-garde group and Gallery Permafo, Wroclaw, 1970-1981 (together with Natalia LL and Zbigniew Dłubak). Stipend of The Kościuszko Foundation, New York (1977) and Verein Kulturkontakt, Vienna (1991); Pro Helvetia, Switzerland (1994). Chair of the Artistic Council of the Association of Polish Artists Photographers (since 1988). Work at the National Museum of Kuwait, 1985-1987. Awarded the Silver Medal for Merits to Culture Gloria Artis (2009).Laureate of, among others, the Katarzyna Kobro Award. Author of paintings, photographs, drawings, graphics, films, often in duo with Natalia LL; also a theorist of art, author of the publication Poziomy energetyczne sztuki [Energy levels of art], 1978.
