Anna Paszkiewicz

Date of birth 1940

Studies: Faculty of Sculpture, State Higher College of Plastic Arts, Gdansk. Diploma in the studio of Prof Stanisław Horno-Popławski, 1964. She made artistic travels around Egypt, Georgia, Latvia, Korea. Author of outdoor projects in Poland, Italy, Latvia, Germany. From 1971 to 1986 she collaborated with the Adolf Warski Shipyard in Szczecin, where she created bas-reliefs in copper sheets and in ceramics. The main theme of her work is figural and abstract sculpture, and works of anthropomorphic character in such materials as stone, metal, aluminium, bronze. She participated in many group exhibitions in Poland and abroad and in exhibitions of the Szczecin art circles. Laureate of awards and distinctions. Honoured with the Bronze (1983) and Silver (1985) Medal of the Council for Protection of Monuments of Fight and Martyrdom, Silver Cross of Merit (1986). Participant of sculpture workshops and creative stays in Orońsko as well as sculpture symposiums in Poland and abroad. Author of small scale, outdoor sculptures, installations, drawings.
