Education: Wood Technology Secondary School in Zakopane, 1948-1952. After graduation, he started working there. Antoni Kenar’s student, and then collaborator and friend. In his art he referred to Christian iconography, mainly to Passion and martyrological themes. His sculptures, made in patinated wood, display simplicity, asceticism and austerity. In the artist’s gallery in Zakopane you can find the largest collection of his works. Laureate of awards for artistic achievements, inter alia The Włodzimierz Pietrzak Award, 1968, The Brother Albert Award, 1976; award of the Ministry of Culture and Art, 1979. Author of sculptures and functional forms.
