Date of death 1996

Studies under the direction of Franciszek Strynkiewicz at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, complemented by a year-long scholarship of the French Government at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiére in Paris, 1948. Diploma 1950. Author of monograph Rzeźba francuska XIX I XX wieku [French Sculpture of the 19th and 20th Century] as well as articles and essays on art published in magazines: Przegląd Artystyczny, Nowiny literackie and Problemy. In the years 1975-1982 she was the head of the Sculpture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolas Copernicus University in Torun. The main theme of her interests involved the problem of movement and changeability of forms in the surrounding space. Together with her husband, Franciszek Strynkiewicz, they organized a sculpture garden next to their atelier in Mogielnica. The artist created abstract, dynamic sculptures inspired by nature, in which you may discern the influence of Henry Moore’s work.
