Edward Sitek

Studies: State Higher College of Plastic Arts, Gdansk, in the studios of Prof Alfred Wiśniewski and Prof Adam Smolana, 1959-1965. Diploma 1965. Professor, deputy vice-chancellor, dean of the Faculty of Sculpture, lecturer at his alma mater (1966-2002). Laureate of awards in sculpture competitions for designs of monuments, inter alia: Grand Prix at the Biennial of Small Sculpture Forms, Budapest, 1987; Grand Prix at the European Meetings of Small Sculpture Forms, Copenhagen, 1998. Participation in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others in: Germany, France, Hungary, Finland. Participant in symposiums, sculpture workshops and creative stays at home and abroad. Author of small scale and monumental sculptures, monuments and architectural-sculptural designs
