Studies: Faculty of Painting, State Higher College of Plastic Arts, Poznan, diploma 1984. From 1983 to 1987 member of the Koło Klipsa artistic group, including artists following the trend of New expression. Since 1987 he co-created the artistic duo Knaflewski & Markowski. He participated in the exhibitions of the group in Poland and abroad. Since 1989 he has been working solo. Author of paintings, sculptures, objects on the verge of painting and sculpture. Associate professor, head of the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Painting of his alma mater (now the University of the Arts in Poznan).
