Krzysztof Zarębski

Studies: Faculty of Painting and Graphic Art, Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, in the studio of professors: Jan Wołyński and Stefan Gierowski, 1962-1968. He is one of the pioneers of performance art in Poland. Author of paintings, prints and drawings. From 1975 to 1981 he collaborated with German directors and playwrights, co-creating theatre including the viewers (visual actions, environment art beyond the theatrical stage). Since 1981 he has lived in New York where for several years he was working together with the Rivington School art group.
