Studies: Academy of Fine Arts, Krakow, diploma 1978. From 1980 to 1982, lecturer at his alma mater. From 1986 to 1988, lecturer at the Silesian University, Branch in Cieszyn. Laureate of the Award of the Nowosielski Foundation for lifetime achievements (1997). Author of the artistic project Wandering Academy, involving conducting classes with students from Bergen (Norway) in various places of the world (1983-1984).

The artist draws inspirations from literature, religion, history, philosophy. Author of multi-element spatial compositions, sculptures and installations, for which he used various materials such as wood, wax, tarry substances, iron, metal sheets. In the 70s he was creating drawing series which he then combined with such activities as performance, musical concerts or documentation. He was also eager to introduce pieces of fur, wooden blocks, slats, strings into his works on paper. One of his most important works of this kind is Epiphanies, presented at the 1960 Youth Biennial in Paris.
