Studies: Municipal School of Decorative Arts, Warsaw and Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw which he completed in 1938. Diploma in the studio of Prof Tadeusz Breyer. He exhibited his works in Paris, Helsinki, Moscow, New Delhi, Munich and New York. Laureate of many awards, among others: 1st prize for the sculpture Mr. Z. M. at the World Exhibition of Art, Paris, 1937; 1st prize for the medal Champion at the 3rd International Biennial Sport in Fine Arts, Barcelona, 1971. Author of portrait sculpture, monuments, small scale sculptures, medals. He wrote his autobiography titled Jedno zycie [One Life], Warsaw, 2000, Agencja Wydawnicza ‘Tak’. Posthumously awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Poland Reborn, 2000.
