Dead Narcissus is one of the eight figures comprising the artistic project Field of Narcissi. By bringing to life a ‘contemporary Narcissus’, the artist recreated and reproduced a figure from Caravaggio’s painting, giving each of them individual features. Like the remaining figures, Exitus is staring at a computer screen. As the only one, it has the skin of homogeneous, brown colour without any inscriptions, projections or thorns. The clear surface of the skin expresses the void, indifference but also hope for resurrection.
