American artist of Czech origin. During WWII she emigrated with her parents to the USA. She syudied history of art at Wellesley College, USA. Wife of Zbigniew Brzeziński, former advisor to the US president. Author if in situ installations and abstract sculptures made of resin, latex, bronze and wood. Starting from the 80s she has mainly created monumental forms in wood using chainsaws, chisels and axes. The process and traces of these tools in the materials constitute an important part of the artist’s work.
