Publication

Since its beginning, the Centre of Polish Sculpture has been conducting publishing activity. The centre issues catalogues, monographs, thematic publications, educational and information materials accompanying exhibitions and events in which the institution participates as well as running publications, such as the Sculpture Quarterly ‘Orońsko’. We do our best so that they have a unique layout and high level of contents, that is why we invite prominent graphic designers and authors specializing in the problems of widely understood sculpture. Our efforts have been appreciated and we can take pride in distinction in the competition for The Most Beautiful Book of 2009 as well as special distinction in the ‘Academia 2019’ competition for the best academic publication.

The Sculpture Quarterly ‘Orońsko’ has been present on the publishing market since 1993. Initially it was issued in black-and-white, and since 2015 it is printed in colour. Nowadays it is the only magazine in Poland particularly emphasizing sculpture. It includes discussions and reviews of key artistic events in Poland and abroad, interviews, reflections on theory of art, presents artists’ profiles. It collaborates with Polish art critics and historians as well as correspondents from France, Germany, the USA and other countries. As a specialist publication it reaches all major academic libraries in Poland as well as prestigious institutions of culture abroad. It can also be purchased in the Empik network stores.
