Studies: In 1927 he started studies at the Warsaw’s School of Fine Arts. Diploma in Prof Tadeusz Breyer’s studio, 1934. Before the war lecturer at the Institute of Plastic Arts in Lvov. On his return from labour camp in Germany in 1945, he started pedagogic work at the State Higher College of Plastic Arts in Sopot. Since 1949 he was head of the Sculpture Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Professor at the Faculty of Sculpture, he was several time the vice-chancellor (at the State Higher College of Plastic Arts in Gdansk and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw). Author of monuments, among others at the Cemetery of Polish Soldiers Fallen in WWII in Lommel, Belgium, and architectural-spatial sculptures. Laureate of sculpture competitions, twice decorated with the Order of the Banner of Work and the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Poland Reborn, 1954 Author of monumental and small scale sculptures, as well as architectural and spatial projects.
