Studies: Faculty of Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts, Warsaw, 1988-1993. Diploma under the direction of Prof Grzegorz Kowalski, 1993. Together with Katarzyna Kozyra, Katarzyna Górna, Artur Żmijewski and others, he co-created the informal group consisting of Prof Grzegorz Kowalski’s former students, the so-called ‘Kowalnia’, which was one of the most interesting phenomena in the young art of the 1990s. Laureate of The Vincent van Gogh Award (2004) and Passport of ‘Polityka’ Magazine (2010); ‘Kairos’ award of the Alfred Toepfer Foundation, 2013. In his works he uses various techniques and materials, such as synthetic resins, hemp oakum, wax, mineral and organic fillers, wood, leather, horsehair. Creates sculptures, installations and video films. Author of performances, social actions and artistic interventions aiming to activate local communities.
