Sofi Zezmer

Studies: New York University (1980), The Cooper Union B.A. (1986) and Hunter College M.A. (1993) in New York. Since 1995 she has lived in Wiesbaden, in Germany. She has shown her works in solo exhibitions inter alia at: Ron Lang Gallery in Amsterdam (2016), Richard J. Massey Foundation in New York (2014), Mike Weiss Gallery in New York (2010, 2007, 2004), Museum Wiesbaden (2008) Gregory Lind Gallery in San Francisco (2005) and Galerie Hafemann (2002) in Wiesbaden. She took part in many group exhibitions in galleries and institutions, such as: Kunsthalle Darmstadt in Germany (2017), Nouvelles Images Galerie in the Hague (2016) and others. The artist creates collages, photographs, 3D objects and site-specific installations. She works with various materials, juxtaposes glass with metal, wood, plastic and objects of everyday use. Zezmer’s works can be found in public and private collections in Denmark, Austria, Germany, Poland, France, the Netherlands, USA, Switzerland, Israel, New Zealand and in Italy.
