Zofia Woźna właściwie Bala Leser

Studies: Faculty of Painting, Academy of Fine Arts, Krakow, under the direction of Wojciech Weiss, 1929-1934. Diploma 1934. She took part in regional and all-Poland as well as in international exhibitions, inter alia: Exhibition of Women’s Art, Paris, 1948; International Exhibition of Contemporary Sculpture, Rodin Museum, Paris, 1961; Sculpture Exhibition, the Hague, 1963; 32^nd Art Biennale, Venice, 1964. She took artistic journeys to France, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Belgium, Italy, Austria, Holland. She participated in sculpture competitions, obtaining awards and distinctions. Laureate of the Silver Medal at the 1^st Festival of Fine Arts, Warsaw, 1966; 2^nd degree Award of the Ministry of Culture and Art for lifetime achievements, 1965. Decorated with the Medal of the 10^th Anniversary of People’s Poland; Gold Cross of Merit for artistic work. Author of small scale and monumental sculptures, as well as paintings.
